About INLINE > Management Team
John R. Tibbitts
CEO, INLINE Corporation
John
Tibbitts established INLINE Corporation in 1994 with the goal of better
meeting the increasing demand of business and government for reliable,
technologically superior storage solutions.
Since its inception, Mr. Tibbitts has guided INLINE to consistently increasing
annual revenues and a position of technological leadership in the data
storage industry. Early on, he recognized the importance of customer service
and the advancing demands the Internet would place on data storage. He
combined his extensive expertise in technology and sales to develop industry
leading storage solutions based on customer demands utilizing the newest
technologies available, including Fibre Channel.
Mr. Tibbitts' passion for technology, commitment to integrity in business,
and outstanding leadership skills have enabled him to grow the company
more than 100 percent year over year. As a privately held company, INLINE
was named to both the Inc. 500 list and to the Washington Technology Fast
50 in 1999, further evidence of Mr. Tibbitts' vision and to the company’s
growth. While INLINE has recognized a growing dotcom client base, largely
due to the company’s location in the Dulles, Virginia high-technology
corridor, the company continues to serve a diverse client base including
the likes of SAIC, Raytheon E-Systems, Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Navy,
Army, and Air Force, UUNET, VERIO, and Broadcast.com, among others.
Mr. Tibbitts began his career as a Selling Manager for Networking and
Personal computers in the high tech arena in California. He has been recognized
for numerous achievements during his career including being awarded “Highest
Revenue, Highest Gross Profit and Highest Gross Profit Percentage at a
Connecting Point Dealership” for three consecutive years; “rated #1 Sales
Person”, USA 1991 out of 5000+ sales people by Intelligent Electronics.
While marketing Silicon Graphics in the early ‘90’s, Mr. Tibbitts played
an integral role in the development and marketing of a lucrative line
of storage solutions for Silicon Graphics. The new line featured the first
- and only - alternative to SGI’s own brand and therefore enabled open-architecture
for what was previously closed architecture on Silicon Graphics Servers
and Workstations.
With a very comprehensive knowledge of systems design, technical development,
successful sales practices and operational management augmented with a
very focused and visionary leadership style, Mr. Tibbitts promises to
bring tomorrow’s technology to market today.
