The FILESTORM Engines offer various levels of high availability and scalability. One or more nodes can be deployed to increase bandwidth or availability. Multi-protocol support, high availability and scalability make this the perfect heterogeneous Data Center addition. The FILESTORM Engines offer an immediate way to expand and enhance existing, and in-place storage repositories; or as a foundationally enabling building block to base a new enterprise storage architecture.
High Availability and Reliability
IceWEB offers a total data management solution consisting of hardware, software, and services. Data availability greater than 99.998%, reduces costly downtime, and maximizes access to mission-critical data. FILESTORM engines provide ease of deployment to meet the entire spectrum of data availability challenges and enterprise data accessible. Key features of the FILESTORM Engines include:
· Built-in RAID for protection from data loss due to disk failures
· Redundant hot-pluggable power supplies and cooling fans
· Enterprise Class Feature Set
Delivering Seamless, Rapid Access to Multiprotocol Data
FILESTORM NAS Engines attach to Ethernet and Fabric networks providing easy SAN or NAS integration. Multi Platform Support for UNIX and Linux NFS, Windows CIFS, Macintosh AppleTalk, and Novell shares for file access. Additional support for iSCSI provides block-storage access to multiple clients. The FILESTORM design optimizes and consolidates high-performance data access for individuals in multi-user environments as well as for application servers and server clusters with dedicated access. All features which guarantee accessibility to legacy data.
Unifying Enterprise Storage Infrastructures
the FILESTORM Engines allow simultaneous support for both file and block-level data access-procedures that previously required multiple systems. The storage access protocols include NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and HTTP, running over standard connection types: Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and SCSI. These capabilities provide easy management of data under one infrastructure and offer users features for managing their block-level data that were previously available only for file-level data. These features include allocating storage between volumes and logical unit numbers (LUNs), dynamically expanding LUNs, and near instantaneous replication and restoration of LUNs.
Storage Systems for Every Enterprise
The FILESTORM product line ranges from the entry-level i100 model, targeted at distributed enterprises and small to medium-sized deployments, up to the i200, our highest-performance single and clustered storage systems, which can support thousands of users with up to 1PB of raw data. The enterprise-class FILESTORM i200 engine is the reference standard for global IT infrastructures, serving as the key building block for open storage networking environments.
The FILESTORM Series product family provides industry-leading throughput and response times. FILESTORM has incorporated an integrated management processor to deliver continuous system health-monitoring and high uptime.
FILESTORM i200
the i200 models deliver industry-leading throughput and response times to meet the needs of the most demanding applications. i200 models scale up to 256 Exabytes, supporting an enormous amount of enterprise data and the perfect storage systems for data consolidation.
FILESTORM i100
The i100 provides high performance in a simple, reliable, flexible, and manageable system. They and accommodate thousands of independent users, support an enormous amount of enterprise data, and deliver the performance needed for large, high-bandwidth applications, the i100 meets the storage demands of virtually any enterprise.
Advanced Software: Optimized for Data Storage and Management
All FILESTORM storage systems are configured with IceWEB’s MorStor Enterprise Data Manager software, a highly optimized and scalable storage operating system. Interoperability and administration ease the delivery of enterprise data and applications.

Compliance Attributes
FileStorm Engines can provide non-rewritable, non-erasable data-permanence storage that enables compliance with government records-retention regulations and business-records-keeping best practices.
Storage Resource Manager (SRM) gives administrators more knowledge of and control over what and how much is stored on file servers. First, SRM provides administrators with both on-demand and scheduled reports detailing storage use. Second, SRM folder-based quotas allow administrators to limit the size of folders and volumes. Third, SRM file screening controls the type of data stored in a file or folder, permitting both the name-based screening of files and allowing/disallowing file creation on specified folder trees.
